This is it. The first half of the last volume of my favourite fantasy epic of all time. Erikson split the story in two, knowing it'd be too bulky to publish in one physical book. And he was right. "Dust of Dreams" itself clocks in at 890 pages (in trade paperback format). The 2nd half - called "The Crippled God", should arrive in February. That will end what has been a decades-long tale spanning 10 large books and a handful of supplimentary works (including 3 books by Erikson's friend an co-creator of the Malazan world, Ian C. Esslemont). If you have not read the Malazan series and are even remotely a fan of epic fantasy - you owe it to yourself to read this series.
