So not only am I addicted to my iPhone (I've traditionally been a BlackBerry kind of person), but I've also discovered that I can no longer live without the iTunes remote app. It is pure and unfiltered WIN.
I went out for FREE COMIC BOOK DAY earlier this afternoon only to discover none of the "free titles" were anything that I was particularly interested in. So I broke the mould and grabbed a couple of Superman books. I could only be considered a Superman fan in the vaguest sense. I didn't specifically dislike Superman books and I certainly enjoyed the Batman crossover material that I read back in the 90s. But mostly I wasn't interested in Superman and his convoluted and overpowered ridiculousness. Seemed to me like everything I needed from the character, I got as a kid from the movies - which I freely admit to loving when I was 6.
Anyway, I've only made it through the first handful of pages of the first issue of War of the Supermen and I find it somewhat funny that the story's antagonist seems to be none other than General Zod, the main villain from Superman 2. Would have expected some new blood in the bad-guy pool at this point.
Darwin and I are going to go back to listening to old Orbital albums and playing in our blanket fort. See ya later mina san.
