Hello my lovely's this will be the first of many movie reviews / me bitching or geeking out about cinema. Being a projectionist and a massive nerd I figured its a bout time I get loud about opinions the first is Kick-Ass 2 Comics & Films to me = gasm
As predicted they have changed a lot from the comic book the brutal content and characters have been dubbed down quite a bit. There are little story changes and add on's through out but for the most part that have the key elements of the story are in place even if it is a tamer version.
Now I'm a die hard fan of the comic series so I was obviously I high expectations and was looking out for changes even some what criticizing them but considering they did the same in the first movie I wasn't judging too harshly and despite its changes and my nitpicking I did really enjoy it. Its a good film and I though it was somewhat doing the comic justice until they completely change the end and derail any hope of third movie even being anywhere close to the comics story.
Needless to say I was most annoyed and even disgusted by some of the final moments I won't say anything as I don't want to ruin it and it'll be interesting to get opinions from my friends that don't know the comic. All this being said fans of the first movie that have no knowledge of the comic will love it and don't get me wrong it is still a good movie but it just not the kick ass I know and love, it is not the kick ass it should be and once again I'm forced to try and enjoy it as a separate entity to my beloved comic all in all 8 out of 10
