Well I think I have an update in me, and it is more on the music/record label front this time around. As far as my last post, my complaints went unheard and I have been charged my annual $48 fee to sit here yet another year, which is still worth it for those of you I talk with. Even some of the sets in a years time help justify it all I guess. Let's hope they are this year. Anyway, music stuff.
I have written, recorded and mixed a new song in 3 hours the other morning, I have it posted on the Riotous Records Myspace page. The track is called "Open Up And Go Down" and will be a start on my first solo album in 8 years called "Things I Wake Up With In My Head" because I always wake up with this crap in my head, so why not get up and do something about it before it goes away. It should prove to be noisy, messy, sloppy music, just the way I prefer it.
We also set up a blog page at our website, riotousrecordsusa.com that should eventually become a fun place to be. We will have all the bands set up with accounts to post and do as they wish over there. I will also rant and rave about who knows what over there. We will also offer special sales and deals on music for anyone who happens to read a blog with the info posted in it on just how to get such deals.
We recently released on E.P. for the band Entropy which I also recorded and produced. It is a teaser of the album "the Furnace" due out later this year. The E.P. is called "The Last Question" and costs a whole $2 to order or $1 to download. It is a 5 song (6 with the hidden track) CDr release complete with artwork.
Speaking of downloads, we are currently moving all our current and out of print releases to Bandcamp and they will eventually all be on our website (a day or two I am told by the webmaster power that be) but they are all on our Myspace page. So far we have all 3 releases from (one of my bands) Jesus Fucking Christ and the God Damn It's, both out of print releases from (another one of my bands) The Surf Swirlies, 1 from Alluvia, (who is also my lovely wife), a charity split from Flat Affect/Cat.n.Bone, and the Entropy E.P. There will be a bunch more uploaded in the next few weeks, so keep an eye out!
While I work on finishing the Entropy album, I will also be starting pre-production then production and recording of a band called The Unstables. They are going to be a lot of fun and I am looking forward to it. I will also continue to work oon the new material for the new Surf Swirlies album due out in early Summer as well as my solo album that I decided to start on as well.
There are also a bunch of our bands gearing up for tours, mainly Created To Kill who will work their way from Kentucky to Texas and back again. I will also be playing my first show in many many years in a few months, so I will give details on that when it is closer. Hopefully some people will come out for it!
Other notes would be that my wife, Alluvia is almost finished with her 3rd album. It should be cool. She will always surprise me with what she comes up with. We also have releases from D.J. Dirty So-n' So, Those Naked Guys, and more coming up the first half of this year. It hopefully will be good on all accounts, and we will hopefully satisfy a lot of different types of music tastes with these releases that range from punk to electronic, to noise, to death metal. Come check us out already! I am done whoring myself and my label now. Thanx to any of you who have actually read all of this. I have to go pick up my kid from her sleep over now. Be good!

If I had the time off I would most certainly take a trip somewhere...anywhere.
