Well time for a new post already. The world that is my music and my record label is keeping me busy as always. I hope this year will bring a nice variety of music for us to release. This coming Tuesday (Jan. 13th) marks our first release of 2009! It is an E.P. by Kentucky death metal band Entropy called The Last Question. It is a teaser of their album The Furnace due out in a few months. I have to finish producing and recording the rest of their album with them. I am also about to start pre-production on KY punk band, The Unstables. Then we will be recording their debut album as well. Soon there will also be the release of a ton of unrelased stuff from my first ever band called Those Naked Guys. The last time we played together was in early '96. I have been cleaning up all kinds of audio off of tapes, VHS video's and more for this. It should be a nice stroll down memory lane for those of us involved in the band as well as our small but strong Chicago based following. There also will be a new release from my beautiful wife, who goes by the name Alluvia and performs all kinds of crazy electronic, glitch, IDM, re-wired kids toys madness! It will be her 3rd album (second on our label). There will also be an early summer release from surf/rock/punk band The Surf Swirlies, which will be the first new album since '02! There is also a few things lined up for Jesus Fucking Christ and the God Damn It's. One is a tribute to Those Naked Guys (since I was in TNG and am now in JFCatGDI's) and another will be a new full length later in the year called Nudity. I decided to tackle a new offensive to a lot of people topic, and do an album about all things naked. In true JFCatGDI's style, we will do everything we can to offend anyone who dares listen to it....that is unless you can actual understand it is all a joke and really meant to offend those who can't take a joke.
So yeah. There is all of that and then some for this year. I will also take up playing a few shows this year. I haven't done that in about 8 years! Not since my days as the dorky, hyper active bass player for me old band, Showoff. So it should hopefuly be fun, though I was burnt on playing then and it took me this long to get the nerve to try it again, and once I do it may be so awful that I stop all over again.
Well that's all I got for now. Check out the label site and/or myspace page sometime. Riotous Records.com
