When I was in Australia I bought a used lens on a whim. Stupid move - the kind you make when you've been throwing money all over the place by the fistfulls - a groove that non backpacking tourists fall into.So I'm in a cash converters and see a Sigma 170-500 for my camera - slow glass but i figured good reach for a sunny day ... well - no - my 70-200 is still better. The cash converters here don't buy lenses - great. I find that the camera place i shop does - but i lose 1/2 of what i paid... better than nothing for a lens i'll never use.
So ... I put it towards a strobe kit and a soft box.... as I am about to begin the process of converting my garage into a studio as soon as the snow melts.
So. How's that for the most uninteresting blog in the history of SG.

Ps. How did I not know you with to Australia? that's amazing! I have friends who have been backpacking there and LOVE it. I'm so jealous, definitely beats going to Canada!
