A friend of a friend is a..uh..um...who are you again?
SG may very well be the most friendly community in the online world - i havent felt this at home since my friday nights at the Keller (Right Astoria_). So with people becoming 'friends' and adding 'favourites' left right and centre I felt i wanted to voice something.
You see if I see a SG that i like/attracted too/ want to do things to then i add then as a favourite because well thats what they become - a favourite passion, a favourite flavour, a favourite SG.
However when it come to SG Hopefuls its different. I have to add them as a friends because they are yet to get the PINK as it were and become an SG. Now while its always nice to gain new friends but because of the ridged flatness of the internet i wouldn't describe individual in foreign land with sexy pictures a 'friend'.
What i would like is the option to favourite or like the SG Hopefuls.
I believe that with this we as members would have more options to actually add friends that we would happily describe as that a friend - an SG you've met or had lengthy conversations with, been photographed by or live close by etc.
With this in place there is the extra added level of security/privacy - you could allow those that have 'liked/favourited' you to see certain pictures/photos/blogs etc whilst those that are your friend could gain access to all areas unopposed.
I'm not 100% certain that this is coming across in the way i want it too but i just wanted to express what i feel could be a further option that would allow greater freedom and expression and distinguish between those that we would class as our favourite SG to those that we are friends with when we aren't friends but just request it so we can see whats in their attachments folder!
Please dont see this as an attack in anyway shape or form on any of those within the community as i said everyone here as been welcoming and friendly i'd just like more ways to define that friendship.
Thank you for you time.

Thank you again Fringe_ wonderful suggestion. I didn't think that my lowly comments would make any kind of difference but it was good to vent what I was feeling! x
