As some of you are well aware, I have been out of town and very much out of contact for four days. I needed to get back home to regain my sanity from a week of clusterfucks. I got home and after watching a movie and relaxing, I huddled into bed for an early bedtime. Shortly after falling asleep my doorbell rings. Granted, the only time the doorbell rings is when the pizza delivery man is at the door (there has only been one other person who's been looking for me). I walk to the door walk asleep and look through the peephole to see a college aged, non descript man. I open the door and we look at each other. After about 5sec of that, he says, "Sorry, wrong apartment" and I shut the door without every saying a word. I think I probably scowled at him being as I was only asleep for 15min before he rang the doorbell. The doorbell ringing in the middle of the night got my heart racing b/c I didn't know who/what would be bothering me at that hour. So, after he leaves my doorstep he finds the right apartment; a girl comes out and they both leave together in his car. Now while I was already asleep, these people were just starting their night. I think that says scores about who I am becoming. A year ago I probably would have wanted to go out in that situation; now not so much. I don't think this is a problem for me so much as I think it's a transition.
Things I did this week:
- spent two evenings with Gaintner around Virginia Beach including not going to a comedy show
- drove 1100 miles and rode in another vehicle for an additional 200.
- saw the eastern shore of Virginia, Delaware & Maryland and the Atlantic Ocean.
- got into a small fender bender with my co-worker who I was following on the trip. It gashed a cut in my bumper and nothing else seeing as it was a 5mph accident.
