1. As far as I know, marriage has existed in every human society. There may be some exceptions among tribal groups, but I have not personally heard of them.
2. In all human societies, until now, marriage has been between a man and a woman. In some societies a man has been allowed to have more than one wife, if he can afford to. No society in the past, as far as I know, has had gay marriage. Nobody has ever shown me any evidence that this is mistaken.
3. People can be so arrogant, to think they can change the definition of an institution that pervades all of history and all cultures. Do we truly, truly believe we are the most enlightened people ever? And that all who disagree are fuckin' jackass bigots, whom it is perfectly acceptable to hate?
