I'm pretty much enraged right now.
As if I don't already have enough financial problems, with paying for my biopsy and having to fix my car. I only have ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS to stretch until August. Basically, I have to spend next to NOTHING each month to make it last that long. I'm already in fucking trouble. And then this shit has to happen.
My university, which is a nice university, is full of incompetent employees. I think that's probably true of a lot of universities because they hire students to work, and the students don't seem to know what they're doing half the time. Anyway, this morning I get an email telling me that a "financial hold" has been put on my account and that I can't receive my grades, register for classes, etc until I take care of my obligation. The obligation? A library fine. FOR $102. What the fuck?!
I look and they claim that I never returned these two books that I specifically remember returning. I returned them four days late, I know that for a fact, because the library starts charging late fees on the fifth day. I didn't want late fees so I went to school on a day I didn't have class and put them in the book drop.
Now they're saying they never got them back.
These were two ANCIENT, PAPERBACK books. How the FUCK can they charge me over a hundred dollars for them? That's aside from the fact that I did return the books. There is no way those two books were worth more than ten bucks each.
I went to the library and told the girl that not only did I return the books a LONG time ago (like two months ago) but I never received any kind of warning that this was going to happen to me. She basically told me there was nothing they could do. If their records show that they never got the books back, then I have to pay the fine. I have no choice.
What am I going to do?!

Publishers are so retarded they charge like 80-150 dollars when the book should be worth 50-60 at most. There is almost no competition between publishers since they merge together.
