Hello, Verizon? I want my goddamn phone turned back on.
Another nice day. Two classes, A- on my tough ass paper from Lit Theory, Visual Arts meeting, RCORE meeting (anti war club), my first one. It feels so fucking good to care about something and to do something about it. Watched a film on the media treatment of the war, which was well done and...

Fate calls me on the phone at work tonight and says, "Eric, I have good news and bad news."
Gimme the bad news first....
"Okay, well your mom is in Passaic General Hospital with another abscess. She'll be there indefinitely with some pumps and possible surgery."
Shit man, what's the good news?
"Your sister paid your cell phone bill with the money you left over...

God damn, man. I swear, sometimes life is classifiable as cruel and unusual punishment. I hope everything works out with your mother, man.
But, on the other hand, Dawn Of The Dead comes out soon, so we still definitely have to see that.

What a wonderful evening. Lauren came over and we watched "Tron" which fucking rules, despite the obvious sexual undertones. Then we ate in the caf, met my buddy Mike Coggz (last name is necessary, I know almost 5 Mikes), and decided to play in the snow. Afterwards we all had hot chocolate and Elliot Smith. Then I went back to my room. Simply beautiful.
We are electrocution.

Worked out some problems today. Had a much-needed conversation and the clouds have cleared up for the time being. Yes!
Snow is sticking around here. My midterm for Readings in Humanities was cancelled, which I guess is a good thing.

Hooray for not skipping! In my book, Austen is a pussy (no pun intended) compared to Bronte when it comes to feminism.

I wasn't knocking Jersey! I just hate snow with a passion. I'm from Colonial Williamsburg originally...I'll prolly work there this summer
"Listen to the distance between us.
No, mind your own business."
Took some time and figured out my priorities. Gonna actually make an effort to get organized. Also gonna do some laundry for the first time in over a month.
By the way, a hamster pissing in Pandemonium's eye is funny. But a scratching post hitting him in the forehead and giving him rug...

I promise not to skip Jane Austen, as temping as that may be. I have to have Mansfield Park read by class tomorrow, I think I'm on page 40 or so.
No Saussure, mostly Fowler, Lakoff, and Johnson. Not that I read them either...
I'm trying desperately hard to envision the hamster scenario and it's just not coming together. And here's my chance to be uber-creepy (don't worry, I'm only making the joke cuz you just made it so easy): heh heh heh, you can come with me anytime...
wow that just feels wrong.

Yes, that was funnier. I have to admit that. But there is still something inherently funny about being shot in the eye with a warm stream of hamster urine. Plus, there were spectators for that one, too. Including Will.
Good weekend....worked a lot, yeah. But I saw chichicat Friday night for the first time in over a week and had a nice time. Got stoned last night after the diner and fell asleep to a clockwork orange. Shit, I'm gonna be late to work....
Something's gotta give...if I keep pulling all-nighters like this I'm gonna fall asleep at the wheel of my car.... one more week until my week of relaxation. Thank Christ.
I hate let downs...
My lit. professor has been talking about a short story I wrote for the past two weeks in class...even though I haven't even read it to the class yet. Even more interesting,...

no! no falling asleep at the wheel! the last week before break always sucks the most...but you'll make it. Good luck
As somber as the wake was, it was quite pleasant. The drive home was fun, Alex and I stayed up all night talking about 80s sitcoms. It's funny, I get hung up on the funniest things like that. I kept talking about 80s shows til Tuesday...and yeah that was Sunday evening. Alex TOTALLY out-Cossed me at the Toms River Diner. If you wanna know, ask.
nyghtwish:
Haha, yeah but you win the literary rivals thing because Jane Austen BLOWS.
And what have you read by the Marquis de Sade? I've always been really interested but I haven't found that much out there that is actually his writing and not historical background.

Wow a guy that's read Austen. That's impressive, you get major props for that. So far I've only kinda liked Pride and Prejudice and Emma...but I wish all of them were more plot oriented and less detail oriented.
And I'll have to check out the books you recommended. My mom, being a librarian, has all the hookups in the out-of-print area.

Where you hear your backpack call:
Pick me up! Your grades cant fall!
In different parts of Dirty Jerz,
On bathroom walls there will be words,
Which are written, but rarely heard,
By the roaming, shitting herds.
In the Edgewater Barnes and Noble,

I really like that. Woot! Go "Graffitti Poetry," yeah!
The wake was yesterday, and it was pleasant for a wake. At the diner afterwards, Alex and I had a Cos-off, where we did a Cosby impersonation contest and he soooo owned me, he had a huge table of scenesters cracking up. Way to go, dude. We stayed up til 6am thinking of 80s sitcoms. I slept all day, missing two classes and never did...

God, you're so fucking strong. I wonder at how you do it.
NO surgery. Jeez, this is a rollercoaster. Talked to her on the phone, ma sounds better.
Lotta heartache and pain, but you gotta hope.

Shaved the goattee and I'm fucking glad.
Chiller Theatre is in April, and Marilyn Chambers will be there. I'll finally be able to see what's "behind the green door."
Chinese Stars play Knitting Factory March 20, woohoo!
