when i was a young girl, my mum would take me all over the province of alberta looking for treasures. we would stop over at my faux aunt's place and trudge through muddy feilds. i have lost many a rubber boot to the mud.
i was thinking of Daisy yesterday and she reminded me of the time my faux cousin Lea and i had seen such a bright rainbow that looked like it was dipping into the barn. we decided to go after it...but it ran away, slow enough that we thought it was taunting us to follow and we did. half way through another feild of mud and grain the sun announced something in the dirt just infrontof my feet. i looked down down to see what it was and found a shiney silver charm braclet with charms of England hanging about. Lea and i were sure it came from the rainbow as a gift for playing along.
that is one of my most beloved memories as a child, my mum was very poor but new exactly how to show us wealth.
