So, on the 5th Anniversary of th 9/11 attacks, more American soldiers have died in Iraq than in those attacks. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 150,000 Iraqi civilians have died. The Senate, after delaying an investigation and report on the misuse of intelligence to justify the War on Iraq, finally had to say they'd determined long ago that there were no Hussein-Al Quaeda links, and Iraq had nothing whatsoever to do with the attacks. Even the President, in a rare split-second of honesty, said there was no connection. And yet most soldiers in Iraq believe they are there because Iraq attacked the U.S. on 9/11, as do 50% of the American people. We continue to live in a self-created climate of fear and are scrabling over ourselves to dismantle the Constitution in order just to feel a little safer.
