Went to the KUFO rockfest in OR Wednesday... Great venue, lots of people, way more than I was expecting... Crowd was insane. Shows are sooo much better when the crowd is into it. Complete chaos, just the way I like it! I was pleasantly surprised as the last 4 or so shows I have seen in the PDX area the crowd was very subdued... I haven't seen so many people taken out on backboards or injured in a long time... Broken Noses, a few concussions and a broken leg are just a few I noticed...Lots of boobies as well. Yeah!
Anyway onto the bands...
Shadows Fall-was realy good, the pit was frantic the band was full of energy. Hadn't seen them live, was pretty impressed.
Il Nino-Almost didn't make the show, but they were decent.
Mudvayne- I've seen them 5 times now. Everytime I go in with superhigh expectations, and everytime I walk away amazed. Fantastic Energy, the set seemed to blast by though, I guess that whole "time flies" thing... The awesomest part was during Mudvayne there were a couple dozen couples making out like crazy... Mudvayne=love themes? never thought about it that way...haha, now to get me a Girl that wants to make out to Mudvayne
Disturbed-One of those bands that I like but i just dont feel fanatical about. They sounded good but you could tell they hadn't been on tour in a while... Dave's voice started cracking midway through the set, just about the time my friends and I were leaving... Had to drive back to Seattle and Work the next day...
Lots of Beautiful Tattooed girls there, alas none of them wanted to make out with me during Mudvayne..lol, unfortunatley there were a whole lotta nasties there as well. Way more unpretty people than not... I try not to be judgemental but there were a lot of people that made me wonder why they were there... Ever go to a show and see people who look totally out of place?
