Just got done watching Star Wars: A New Hope on tv for the bazillionth time (not that im complaining, Heres to a bazillion more!) and maybe it was my mood or something, but i was irritated by something that happens in the movie. At the end when the Death Star comes within firing range of the Rebel base on Yavin IV, Grand Moff Tarkin says, "You may fire WHEN ready." Then it cuts to those dudes pushing levers and twisting knobs and shit and one of them says, "commencing primary ignition..." Why the fuck wouldn't they BE ready? If i went through all that trouble of building this giant space station that shoots lasers that destroy planets but takes longer than the amount of time it takes for windows XP to load up on my computer, i think i would have planned ahead a little better. I would have said, "Have the fuckin' laser ready, so just as we come in firing range, BLAM!!!! we blast em'!" I mean am i the only person who's ever thought of this?
crazzy:
