Perhaps, what I write is not «fun facts», but what St.Petersburg (SPb) - Capital of Culture is a fact.
It is a haven for musicians , artists, filmmakers, and many members of the arts. Strolling through the city during the day can see a lot of street artists, beginners or famous, go to the theater and to write a poem on the banks of the Neva.
At night the city looks completely differently. Its streets are filled with strolling couples and adventurers. In the middle of SPb night life is the Dumskaya st. , where there are many pubs in various formats (from gay bars to karaoke clubs).
Those who like more underground atmosphere, prefer rock music - club culture go to while away your evening on Ligovsky pr. In the courtyard there is a lot of different clubs with different audience. One of such institutions is «Zoccolo 2.0». This is one of the oldest clubs in St. Petersburg with a live sound. Many rock artists looking for their first audience in this club. Since it’s opening in 1996 (then called "MOLOKO") , the club became legendary point for many musicians , it can be compared with the American "CBGB". Despite many transfers and changed the name of the club and now continues it’s activities, every evening because of his doors all heard the same sounds of rock music, and in the door you are met by staff of the club. Many of them are still working with the foundation.
After the closing of the club you can always go back to admire the drawbridges, white nights and the stunning sunrises and inspiration for the next day.
