I've totally meant to update this like for the last few days, it's funny how something exciting like posting a blog for SG becomes more and more of a chore as time passes...
2012 has been a hugely transitional year...
lately I find myself loving music again.. I worked at a music store for 6 years and towards the end of it I was just 'sick' of music because the knowledge I had amassed had just become overwhelming and I just couldn't keep up with it.. All my energy got focused into photography and now I'm coming back to constant jams playing and rediscovering old music and learning new shit again.
Relations are strange... sometimes you think you're super compatible with someone right? then things for whatever reason don't work out with that person and its like ok whatever but we were 'so a like' right? Then you meet someone else and its like holy fuck.... in comparison with person A. (whom you thought you had a lot in common with) person B. points out (through actions and conversations) how much you really didn't and how much you could possibly have with someone which is crazy...
I mean i'm still new to this shit so I don't really know what to think of this.. I hadn't really thought of people being 'cut from the same cloth' or stopped believing it a long ass time ago... whatever but now i'm starting to think and I have no idea anymore.. maybe there is a cosmic reason for 'things'. I don't know what they are but it's potentially exciting no matter what.
what do you all think of that??
Secondly I want to talk about photography. I know my position is highly coveted, I mean.... it literally IS a job taking picture of beautiful naked women.. who wouldn't want that? However lets look at the stats. If you ever have gone to the sgphotographer hopeful group, every month you'll get 3-5 new photographers who want to shoot for the site. Out of those maybe 1 will actually get as far as to shoot a set and out of those photographers that actually SHOOT sets, a small % will actually sell and then even smaller % of those photographers will ACTUALLY become staff, the site isn't 'built' for model networking it has never claimed to be either and there's a set instruction of rules put into place that photographers need to follow and also never use the name 'Suicidegirls' to benefit their own advantages..
So when I started this 'road' to become a suicidegirl staff photographer I did all the research myself and figured out what I needed to do to network, achieve my skills and always always present myself in the most professional manner. I had no one to hold my hand no one to hook me up with models and certainly no one to give me a step by step guide to becoming a staff photographer. Girls wanted to work with me BECAUSE of my work... So when I get e-mails asking me for 'step by step' guides and dropping my name in order to hook up with a shoot with a model that's when I have some issues. Sure i've e-mailed and talked to in forums with staff photographers before I became staff, but it was always for technical advice, not 'DUH HOW DO I GET A JOB SHOOTING NEKKED WIMMEN TELL ME". I've worked hard and still work hard to keep my position here and in the end it's really an accomplishment that I said I wanted and got it, and that feels pretty fucking awesome...
Photographers please note, i'm always down to give technical advice on sets so feel free to e-mail about shop stuff. I do love talking about that shit.. i'm not the greatest critique but I try!

I made it a point to FINISH all my sets within the next few days sooo even though it's going to be awhile here are the other two sets that match up with Tristyn's. I'm pretty stoked on both of these and hope they came out all nice and proper with the spirit of Comic-con. If I could take all the bullshit out of comicon and leave the really rad stuff, would be pretty awesome!
