It's no secret nowadays that the US government is rife with moral and financial corruption. When given the option to bail out home owners my government instead printed more money to bail out the banks who in turn evicted those home owners. That bail out money was then used to maintain the rich lifestyles of those who requisitioned it.
I don't believe all is lost though. If anything the integration of social media into the lifestyle of the average American will be the major downfall of the political machine. Any government out there may be able to silence a few people without notice but given how many people have phones with cameras on them in America today there is no way any regime could contain that many leaks.
Once the American public realizes they can take part in the political process in a big way by voting a lot of shit will change in this country.
If nothing else it will prove if the apathetic non voters are right. I personally don't believe most of the elections are rigged. Maybe there have been some shenanigans during a few elections but I think the powers that be rely on the brainwashing of the social media and religion to control the masses more than fraudulent votes. I feel like more and more people these days are waking up to the idea that our government needs to change; they just need assurance they can have their voice heard.
Being a part of a mass unified into one voice aimed towards a better tomorrow for all.
The way I see it this country is either going to self destruct or enter a new age of prosperity. Either way I'm along for the ride. :)
