There is only one annual event in Chicago that I look forward too. And we have A LOT of events!
But for me, there is only one; The Chicago Air and Water Show
Darqkloud Fact: He LOVES fighter jets. Second only to women, they're his favorite things
to look at. In fact, they make him as giddy as a school girl.
This year, The Chicago Air and Water show turned 50 years old. That's pretty impressive.
Bill Murray skydived on to North Avenue Beach on Friday. And on Saturday he and Florence Henderson sang the National Anthem (so upset I missed that).
This year they had all my favorite, active, US military fighter jets (F-14 Tomcats have been decommissioned).
Today I got to see;
F-4 Super Phantoms (Upgraded Phantom)
An AV-8BII Harrier "Jump Jet". (Vertical take-off and "Hover" capabilities.
Can now break the sound barrier)
F-18 Super Hornets (The Blue Angels use these, didn't stay to see the actual Blue Angels because
the don't show what this jet is truly capable of)
The brand new F-15E Strike Eagle (This is an upgrade from the F-15 Eagle, my former favorite jet.
And, my current favorite, the F-22 Stealth Raptor.
Hey, there were other boats, helicopters and planes there but I'm a jet person.
Cause when your a Jet your a Jet all the way. From your first cigarette to your last dying day...
You get the point.
Motivation Time!
