I disappear for a few months and come back to a whole new SG layout. Im so disoriented! But I love the look of it.
Since I was last on, I've graduated, moved out of the dorms into my parents house, got a killer job, then got an even more killer internship that prompted me to quit my job, moved across the country, let my ex back into my life only to get burned again and proceeded to push her away to arms length (which is too close if you ask me but I just cant push any further), and am now mooching off of borrowed wireless waves, crossing my fingers that it they dont give out.
I have rare internet access, lost my phone in pennsylvania, and am located in fairly secluded corner of the catskills, surrounded by more nature than Ive seen in quite a while. On the way out I saw more corn and cows than I ever thought possible, salt flats looking like snow, cliffs and buttes and ravines and mountains that seemed familiar from glossy pages of national geographic. And once here, fireflies. Fireflies, I've never seen before. The week long trek was worth it for that one element.
For as far as I am, I feel oddly at peace and at home. I hope the feeling lasts.

Thank you so much for your vote. I really don't care if I win- I'm just super stoked that I made the cut. YAY!
