As a dancer, I traveled a lot through my youth, so crossing the borders of different countries wasn't big deal to me. But in 2011, I was turned back on the border of two countries, and I got in the late evening somewhere far from the closest city... I was scared and had no idea what to do, and how to get back home at least.
So I was sitting crying on the bench near the border post, and some old man sat near me, gave me coffee, and asked me what's my problem.
I told him in what a crappy situation I was stuck, and can't get back to home or to my trip point. He told me that he will figure out how to help me, and after passing passport control -- invited me to get in his truck to drive me back to the nearest city. I was so glad, so I had no hesitation. Also, that man called his wife, explained what happened, and kindly asked to prepare supper for the 3 of us.
When we arrived -- old lady greeted us, fed me with 3 dishes, omg ๐๏ธ๐๐๏ธ, prepared some sleeping place, and even towels. At the morning she woke me up, gave me some food to eat on road, explained where I could pick up a bus to my hometown, and gave me her phone number ๐ I was very thankful for that sweet couple, and they literally saved my life ๐
