First off, wow. I just had some of Astatine's vegan cupcakes. They are the tastiest things I have ever tried. I am serious, no gilding the lilly. They are truly works of tasty goodness! 
Work has been going surprisingly well. Between yesterday and today I received $125 of recognition awards. A very nice way to start your work. I think I may use the money to get myself a nice cowboy hat. I used to have a couple, but I have long since lost track of them.
I work IT, so most work is officially measured through a ticketing system when requests come from customers.Most of my work comes from "shoulder taps". That means the customers usually contact me directly instead of going through the ticketing system. There have been complaints from higher up the chain about low ticket numbers so I have been turning those taps into tickets. I do a lot of work that goes under the radar since customers know they can go straight to me and get it done right away. Command Line Interface FTW. I can use a command line tool to quickly turn my work into tickets. That will help make people happy. Stupid metrics.
