Holy crap, i almost forgot what the new year brings. The Ren Fair will be here next month 
Last year I just went with my point and shoot (and very limited knowledge) so I will be looking forward to seeing what I can do this year. I am really looking forward to the Birds of Prey exhibit. One day, I would like to be a falconer.
Not much else going on right now. A friend from work will be leaving the company soon. He is going to do his full time studio thing. He is an excellent photographer. He was the one I went to for classes and I learned quite a bit. Anyone in the AZ area that would like to learn a little more about using your SLR should probably look into the classes he offers.

I only took his Digital Photography 101 class, but I may take his flash class as well. I need to move away from the TTL stuff and start manually setting my flash.
It is really cool to see someone actually breaking away from the corp life and doing something they really enjoy doing. Perhaps one day I will make the break
