What a horribl, shitty night this has been.
First, I get a $206 speeding ticket...I have been driving up and down this hill pretty much the same way for 22 years and I get pulled over NOW?!?!?!?!?! WTF? I was, no shit, like 30 feet away from my house when I was pulled over. Fucking small town cops...gotta love 'em.
Then I found out my lil' 3 year old grand nephew Cameron has severe diabetes and is in the hospital. They say he'll be on insulin for the rest of his life.
Then, to top it off, the writing group I go to every Friday has been torn apart by internal bickering and politics. I have a feeling it may not last much longer.
So all in all, a lovely evening...not.
I really hope Cameron will be OK.
I could really use some hugs ladies.

I get the feeling that Cameron may be one of those kids, when he starts school, and is very calmly and expertly testing his blood sugar, while the more immature kids scream and faint from the blood, while he suppresses a giggle.
When I was an art model, I used to use my joint hypermobility to tie myself into shapes most other models couldn't do; had a tendency to try fuck with the beginning art students, as well as the more advanced anatomical drawing students who had just had 2 weeks of human proportions and dimensions, right before getting stuck with the "anomaly model."
I just noticed that my lovely fellow Missourian, Taiwanai, mentioned folding paper cranes here. I still have the paperback copy I got in 1979 of Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes, when it was a Newberry Award Book in 4th grade. I'm sure I have folded well over a thousand in the past 30 years, I just don't have a clue where they all would be, and if some even survived since then.
Mom *says* she's better, but she has a tendency to hide or downplay stressful stuff around me, worried about me getting "over-emotional." *shrug*

Cops can be real dicks.
Diabetes runs in my family but I've never known anyone having it that young. I know he is not the coolest guy but the youngest Jonas Brother has diabetes and a lot of kids look up to him. Maybe three is too young to know who he is but if he watches The Disney Channel at all, chances are that he might. Here is a link to his diabetes website. It might help him to know that Nick Jonas deals with the same thing as him.
