25 Random Things About Me (I hope,lol!)
OK, here we go...
1. My birthday is Feb. 22, same as George Washingto, Drew Barrymore ( ), Jeri Ryan (7 of 9 from Star Trek:Voyager) and Kyle MacLachlan (Agent Cooper from Twin Peaks!)
2. Until I was well into my teens, our next door neighbor was an eccentric, old, retired veterinarian that everyone called Doc Galloway. One night when I was very young, like two years old, this fisher cat was in the field between our houses and it started wailing, as fisher cats are wont to do. So Doc Galloway calls our house at three in the moring and asks my Dad if he's aware that "Brian (me!) is in the middle of his field and crying." My Dad got quite colorful in explaing just how wrong he was, lol! You'd think an ex-veterinarian would be able to tell the difference between a fisher cat and a human baby but...
3. My brother is a musical genius and started several rock bands when he was in his teens and twenties. He played a lot of Velvet Underground and The Stones...he used to close his shows with "You Can't Always Get What You Want" and if my Mom brought me to one of his shows ( I was like five or six) my brother would call me up on stage and we'd "sing" You Can't Always...together. LOL, we were like an evil Partridge Family!
4. My third biggest fear is that I'm afraid that people think I'm stupid.
5. I think the closest I've ever come to dying was at Woodstock '94. On the last night I went back to my tent to get some sleep, everything in my tent was soaking wet. Something told me I should leave and find someplace dry but I was so tired...I slept for a couple of hours and when I woke up I was shaking so bad it was like convulsions, it hurt my muscles and bones. I got out ouf my tent and started searching for someplace warm. People would stop me sometimes and ask if I was all right but I could hardly talk. I was told that some people had built a bonfire on the field where the techno bands had played. I made my way there and stood as close as I could to the flames. After a few hours I felt OK. Not long after I got back home, I had one of the worst colds of my life that lasted about a month. Ouch!
6. My favorite song of all time is "True" by Spandau Ballet. It's so romantic, I want it played at my wedding!
7. I love hedgehogs and would love to own two someday. I even have the names picked out: McGuffin (after the term invented by Alfred Hitchcock) and Baby Huffanagel.
8. One day in second grade I got bored and started telling all my friends that I was from another planet. I never lived that down, lol! Until we all graduated, that's all I ever heard...
9. I wanted to be a scientist when I grew up but I was way too bad at math for that.
10. I wrote my first poem at age nine. It was about black holes. I lost all copies sooooooooo long ago but I still remember how it ends: "And a little piece of you/and a little piece of me/will go sailing off/into infinity."
11. In high school, I wrote short science fiction stories for the school paper.
12. My second biggest fear is losing my mind/losing my memory.
13. I'd love to have daughters someday, maybe three. Lol, I have the names picked out for them too: Alisande Goldfrapp Moreau, Idony Lovecraft Moreau, Shelby Charlotte Moreau.
14. The first two big influnces in my life were the Beatles and H.P. Lovecraft.
15. I have never really had any experiences with drugs in my life. I've only smoked pot four times in my life and the last time was in 1993! If pot were legal, I might smoke it from time to time. I never really wanted to try any other drugs and I'm terrified of acid/LSD, afraid of it driving me mad. Besides, I was able to train my mind at an early age to "think psychedelicly" by listening to the Beatles. I do love to get drunk though, lol!
16. The color silver never fails to make me out of my fucking mind HORNY,lol!
17. When I was 14, I used to sneak outside at night and go sledding in the nude.
18. My favorite food is pepperoni pizza with blue cheese crumbles. YUM! I also love clam chowder!
19. My two favorite shows when I was a little kid were Sanford and Son and Chico and the Man. I used to wish Redd Foxx was my Dad! I also loved Columbo.
20. The first band I was really into as a teen was The Cars.
21. When I was a little kid, I thought all the rock stars, like the Beatles and Elvis, lived at the radio station and everytime you heard one of their songs, it was being played live!
22. Although I''ve lived my entire life so far in New England, it wasn't until ten years ago that I went to Cape Cod for the first time. It was on July 17, 1999, the day JFK Jr's plane crashed into the sea off Cape Cod...so I wasn't that far away from that when it happened. I didn't know about it until I was back up around Boston, my friend turned on the radio to see how bad the traffic would be and that's the first we heard of it. Such a creepy, hot day...
23. My number one fear in life is never finding love and being alone for the rest of my life. And that people secretly think I don't deserve love,
24. I have always known that when I die it will be incredibly violent, like in an explosion or a car or plane crash. I've had visions of it in the past...a loud roaring noise and a wall of jagged metal flying towards me and then darkness. But that's it. I have no idea what caused it or when it's going to happen. Sometimes I get the sense that my death will spare the life of somebody I love, again, I have no idea who or when. But if that is so, than I am glad.
25. I have had many paranormal experiences in my life, I've encountered ghosts and demons. But one of the strangest things I can recount is that when I was a kid, what I can only describe as a "machine intelligence" tried several times to contact me through my dreams. These dreams were very painful...the intelligence would manifest itself as a vast grid of numbers with static running through them. Every time I moved in my dream the static would enter my body causing my muscles to feel like an electric current was going through them, it hurt...a lot. I hated these dreams with a passion and I'd wake up the next day more tired than if I hadn't slept at all. I guess whatever was trying to contact me gave up, I haven't had one of those dreams since the early 80's. I hope they never come back.
Whew! I made it!!!!!! And there were a couple of facts I didn't get to use!
Here's a bonus one:
My all time favorite SG and one of my heros:
Jaime!
Hope you all enjoyed my list, let me know what you think!
