Damn, I'm no good at this city thing,...
Just moved here to SF about a week ago,... and aside from the culture shock I'm experiencing (moved here from the middle of nowhere, near Yosemite),... just can't seem to make it out the door with out pissing tons of money down the drain. I live out on Treasure Island,.. and don't drive,.. so all morning I'm pacing around trying to get my lazy ass out the door to catch a Muni to go get some smokes,... This shouldn't be so bad, just a quick trip into the city for cigarettes. But noooo, I'm in the city,.. my mind pulling me in six directions at once, I'm thinking, hey, I got smokes,.. I can go home now,..
orrr,
Maybe a little lunch at the metreon first,.. hmm that was nice,.. maybe a quick guiness at the pub across the street,.. sure,..
no big, may have turned my 7 dollar smoke break into a 20 dollar event, but no big,..
So then I try to make it home,.. and tell me where else but in the city am i gonna be walking home but only 6 blocks,.. and see the Suicide Girls books staring up at me from a store window. I couldn't do it,.. I just could go home without a copy of my own. Not that I'm complaining of course,... okay, okay,.. I am, but not about the book. hehe, Its great.
Nah, not the book,.. but how the hell did I turn my 7 dollar smoke trip into a 60 dollar spendathon. eheh, at this rate I might have to move out after a few more trips for cigs,...
K, so this isn't the best of blog here,... but I try to at least be amusingly cynical,... think I had a few to many beers right now for that to work for me though.
Great job on the book. To all the SG's in it and to Missy Suicide for putting it all together. Talk about great advertising,.. I don't think I could pass up any product whose cover bares the face of the lovely Mary.
Now if only I could get my copy signed. tehe
