Hi everyone!
I took a hiatus from most of the world for a while there, but I'm trying to get back into life a little bit.
I've had a rough go of it, but I've learned a lot about myself and I'm moving (slowly) forward. I remember how much I enjoyed this community before things started to go off the rails, and as fate would have it right when I was thinking I needed to reup my account I won a free year online! Thanks SG, that was really awesome right about now!

I got my calf piece touched up (the light in this pic is shitty, the colors are actually quite strong now).
I got my memorial to Nikolai done at the end of last summer.
I adopted two adorable new fur babies! My heart and my place were SO empty after Nikolai passed and both of these babies found themselves needing a home when I was in need. Grüt is a mutt, but mostly American Pitbull and Pug. Kilava is...I don't know, a cat, lol! She's actually gotten bigger even since I took these (she's almost 11 months now).
The PhD is a challenge but I think I'm finally making progress on my research. I'm trying to get ready for another summer in remote Alaska right now.
