no, don't leave! unless you're an asshole, which it doesn't sound like you are, people will understand you after awhile. if nothing else, unfortunately you have to build up some crediibility. look at TheGreatSatan or DebraJean. they talk a lot, and people know that when they say things that could be taken as offensive they don't mean to hurt anyone deeply.
