Post-show:
Not only did Henry not disappoint, he was in rare form. I have to say that in all the shows I've seen the man do since 1995, this is probably in the top 2. The show went about 3hrs 15 minutes with fresh material and an energy I haven't seen in the last couple of shows before. He really looked like he was enjoying...

Pan's Labyrinth was definitely an interesting film... I think I was expecting it to be more fantastical than it was.

Alma has finally found an entry-level government position that would be perfect for her degree back in... ~trumpet sounds~ the city we just moved here from 7 months ago. how retarded. But it really would be better and we are comfortable with the possibility of...

First you have to lay a claim to your favourite chair. Don't let those young whippersnappers beat you to it.

Then you have to get yourself a nice pair of comfortable slippers.

Next you have to start rephrasing things in a manner more appropriate to one so advanced in years. For example, next time someone asks you what you did on the weekend, try taking your current response, "I went out on the town on a pub crawl with my mates, got pissed up, pulled this really hot goth babe and had a fucking wicked time" try rephrasing it as, "On Friday I had a nice quiet evening in watching Miss Marple, on Saturday I did my grocery shopping and my laundry and on Sunday I mowed the lawn and washed the car". Also, try using words like "whippersnapper" a lot and prefacing your statements with such choice phrases as, "When I was your age...".

Now all you need to do is start worrying about the ever increasing cost of living and whether your pension fund is going to get you through your old age and then you will have made a successful transition from your twenties to your thirties.

Well done and welcome to the club!!

Applying for jobs are a BITCH! Good luck!!

All I can recommend is referencing other resumes out there to make sure that yours is the best it can be.. I worked for an Employment Resource Center and you would be shocked on how much resumes matter whatever Shitty part is, each employer has different preferences and it's nearly impossible to make it fit into a more "universal" spot... Some employers want a specific objective like "I am seeking a position as a Cashier" instead of "I am seeking a challenging position that offers an opportunity for professional growth".. It's ridiculous!

Like I said, good luck and if you are actively searching --- apply for anything, you never know what you may fall into! wink

As far as my ex goes, I've been ignoring him and will continue down that path.. It's just funny how determined he is.. It really supports my theory that he's not legally sane... *ponders* heh.

dorwayin:
well, I must admit that the audio is not that good, damn, you must really like Elizabeth.
dorwayin:
yeah, she just has that voice that can't be humanly explained. Divine? But I felt that that would be the only time I would ever be able to witness that so I whipped out the elph and documented the divine? experience. It was a jaw dropper for Shell and I, dude was like, blah blah blah (brittish babble) blah Elizabeth. She came out, started singing and Shell and I looked at eachother stupefied. Like hezemahezemahezema, that's fucking Elizabeth Fraser eeek

~yawn~ what a long day....

Anyway, Had fun yesterday for Almalthia's bday. Went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast, then to Laumiere Sculpture Park to make fun of the art, followed with some shopping, then on home to eat chocolate torte and watch Failure To Launch (snore) and Casanova.

And I had to make a stop on the way home for one more birthday gift.......
