Well it's been a little bit since I last wrote but, work has been keeping me busy. Well had a little adventure today.......Our first heat related injury. It's about 72 degrees here and a taste of the summer is starting. A soldier was carried in today with a core temp of 103.2. Now granted this is nothing compared to what summer will be like here. So, did the whole work up on him and gave him an IV of Sodium Chloride with a 14G needle. I love the adventure.
So rule of thumb when your out training for war drink water because this is winter compared to Iraq. Will some of these new trainees ever learn?
