Today was pretty boring. I knew from the moment I woke that it was going to suck. Just a hunch, as I knew I was going to be stuck inside for the duration of the day.
My lip hurt, but that was to be expected. The house was a mess, and NOT on account of me. I am, by habit, very very clean and organized. It has been one of the few things I have never been able to shake off. The military did it's brainwashing well....
My stepmom stormed around the house, wanting everybody to do their "share" of the yardwork. I bit my tongue and helped to the best of my ability. I am really tired of dealing with that... Can't I just be master of my own room, which is *gasp*, always clean!! Why must I deal with my family and their filth!!
Oh well....Tis the nature of the beast.
I've put myself in this position, with my mindless wandering through the highways and sidewalks of this world. I spent far too long running around, living the life. I never saved any money while I was in the Navy, hence me sitting my ass in this chair and wishing I was somewhere else..
Life is funny sometimes, and the paths we take to get what we want. It's taken me years to get to go to college, and it had better be worth it. Because I am NOT coming back to this Hellhole. I refuse to let it happen.
That is what my sleeve design is about... The way I drew it, it had several black bands crisscrossing each other, all leading nowhere, all ending in deadends. But as they run up the arm, they unravel, leaving nothing. It's a metaphor for life...
No matter what path you take, it leads you to the same place.... Nowhere. Death is the only final destination for all of us, the end of all of our paths.
It will be the first truly relevant piece of tattoo art I will have on my skin. Here's hoping that MY path was the right one to take.....

We're not supposed to mention fucking in mixed company, but that's exactly where it takes place.

Ok, I will stop now. Enough with the Hallmark talk.
The very excellent news is that now that I have to move a bunch of heavy things for the office, the weather has now gotten cooler.
