Eternal Sunshine was an awesome movie! Michel Gondry was the perfect choice to direct that. When you look at the music videos he's done, it's so obvious why he was picked.

Why does it take a person 2 minutes to tell people where they come from, yet it takes 15 minutes to explain where a scar comes from? Your scars are your best stories. Sometimes I try to count mine, and use them to gauge my toughness. So far, I'm only mildly tough. When I'm 40, I'll be a hardass. Emotional scars are different. There's always too many to count, and the memories don't make you smile. I wonder if swallowing your emotions is really as bad for you as they say? And if so, how long do I have left before my head explodes?
The trick with those is to occupy yourself. I just had the book 'Bad Omen' recommended to me. I'll have to check that out. But right now I'm reading 'The Complete Stories Plays and Poems of Oscar Wilde'. That guy is so unbeleivably quotable. I hope some day I'm quotable. But so far, the best one I have is, "It's difficult to type the sound of me crying". ... Pathetic.

I'm waiting for my DD 214 so I can hit up the VA hospital for dual knee surgery. What fun! I had a tumor removed from my toe once. I really hope your cheek doesn't turn out looking like my toe does. Then again, my doctor sucked, and I ended up tearing all of my sutures, which didn't help. Who the hell gets cancer on their toe anyway? I'm a freak.
