There was a time when I had a rather large girl gang - my entire rugby group. Rugby gave me a group of girls who were similar to me and different from me in many different ways. I met girls I would have otherwise never become close with, I was exposed to new worlds. Rugby gave me the confidence to start modeling, the love and support of the rugby girls is similar to the love and support to the girls I've met here.
My old girl gang, my rugby teammates, gave me the confidence to start modeling, and brought me to where I am today. Though I'm not connected with them all now, I do still have my one-girl girl-gang.
Let's talk about Toria.
I first met her when I was a senior in high school and she was a freshman - we became close through rugby. Fast forward four years and we're practically attached at the hip. Currently, I'm showing her the world of modeling and trying to get her into it. She and I have plans that I'll be shooting her first set, actually, which will be fun! I love photography, and, as a model, I think I have an eye for what will work well.
On my last shoot, Toria came along with me and helped me adjust my outfit and just hang out and observe the process.
It was a lot of fun having a friend come along for a shoot! We were able to capture some great photos from us joking around, and there's a certain kind of feeling of comfortability when you have a friend in the room vs when you don't.
And there's a point where you're both just in the zone, each of you doing you're own thing, but still enjoying each other's company - I'm happy to say my photographer caught us doing just that!
My girl gang is my best friend, and I'm so lucky to have her along for all my crazy rides and to be along for all of hers. I love my bestie! <3
