"I've seen things...you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I've seen C-beams...glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate. All those...memories lost, like tears in the rain."
- Roy Batty, "Blade Runner"
It's been a while since I last updated. I appear to have gotten myself stuck in something of a rut: I get up, I go to work, I come home, eat dinner, read for a bit, and play WoW with friends. That has been the bulk of my life for the past few weeks...and I am terrified that it's going to become a dominant pattern.
I look around my workplace, and I see a lot of people who have very little in the way of a life simply because they have no way of escaping the routines that they have gotten themselves into over the years.
As is usual though, I hear the little voice in the back of my head..."You know how to break up your routine. You know how to avoid being stuck in a rut..." there are many times in one's life when knowing the answers to one's own problems is useful...but this time, it's more annoying than anything else. It annoys the lazy part of me, which part often prevails (unfortunately).
"You know those bumper stickers that say, 'today is the first day of the rest of your life'? That's true of every day but one...the day you die."
