I got back from the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco today. Long drive, ~14-15 hours.
Except for the drive down there, it was a fun trip.
sorry, too dead to say more.
argh. my cat is sitting on my mouse, so I can't click "save entry", so I guess I'll keep typing until she moves.
So... There will be a game called "Spore" that will be OFFICIALLY announced at E3. It is being made by the same guy who made Sim City, The Sims, etc... During one of the talk sessions, he completely elaborated on the game and even demonstrated it. Later on, when it was time to rebroadcast a recording of it for other people to see, EA scrapped it because they said the talk contained "proprietary information".
As in, everyone who was there got a sneak-peak in-depth overview, and only the people who were there (or are under NDA with EA) know anything about it.
I wasn't at the session, but a friend of mine was. What he described was amazing. Keep an eye out for this game.
