I think the most depressing part of learning now to snowboard is falling on your ass and watching all of these little kids with their little tiny snowboards turn, carve, and jump with ease. Here I am writing in pain in the snow.
Naa, it's all good. I imagine it is much easier to learn as a kid, if for no other reason than kids are lighter and don't get hurt as easily as grown-ups when they fall.
The day before yesterday, one of the guys in our group (a snowboarder) fell on his first run, and broke his collarbone. And what was his initial thought? "Fuck, I just bought a 2 day lift ticket"
