So I get a call yesterday from my husband, as I do pretty much everyday at some point...He tells me he's finally at the location where they will depart from to head to the states. As far as he has heard, they still should be home by Tuesday...but he said not to get my hopes too high just in case there are any delays. Hrmph. So, to be excited, or not to be? Don't be too excited, but just a little??? Hmmm...Well, all I know is I am freakin' excited, and I still have so much to do, so if he is going to be home in about 2 days, I better get this shit done!!! Housework is endless, can I just say that? Especially when you have children....that are, "helping"...lol...Awww, they mean well, and it's sweet. However, I must say, I got a grin on my face when my husband gave me a list of items to bring to the welcoming home ceremony, but leave in the truck..lol...For him and some of our soldiers...lol...Yeah, I have to get a bunch of liquor, and energy drinks, probably some smokes too...lol...I giggle everytime I picture what the look on their faces is going to be when I start handing out the goods they have been longing for since they deployed. They get smokes over there, but not always their favorite brand...so, yeah...And then, I was also told we'll be making a stop at Starbucks on the way home...Being that they're basically flying back in time..and it's 18-20hrs, depending on where they stop for fuel and how long it takes...But you know what's on their minds as to what they want to do that night, right??? tee hee...Though that usually only works out for married guys and dudes with girlfriends...the single soldiers are kind of s.o.l., but strip clubs are always a good second, and alcohol. So I have to make a liquor run, amongst other things. It should be interesting to see how much they can handle after a year of not having any...lol...Oh, yeah, I'm way excited for that!!! Ok, ok...I gotta keep focused or I'm never going to finish my house before he gets here...not that he's going to notice, or care...cuz you know what he's going to want...it won't matter what the house looks like..lol..but it does to me...

Yeah, me too...and my fingers are crossed...I can't believe by this time tomorrow night, it will be my last night alone, for a while anyway...I'm so excited...I've been going turbo - "in the zone"...I will probably be that way until he gets here, and I give him my initial "welcome home"-ing...lol..Then I'll be spent...I've been going on maybe 4-6 hours of sleep for like 3 weeks now...and it's just a given that I'm going to sleep better once he's home, but when I do, I'm afraid I'm going to want to sleep for days...lol..
