I'm back from TN today. While I'll miss my mom, I won't miss the environs. Too peaceful and quiet there. I need my city and the banging techno running through its arteries, the sirens and the weird noises in the alley and the orange sky at night. Not leaving all the doors unlocked, not leaving windows open without screens in them, where parallel parking is the rule and not the exception.

I'm glad to be back to the city.
