Ugh, tired. Work early this morning, then I talked my dad into driving me up to the Best Buy an hour and a half away to pick up a TV stand that was on sale, and I didn't want to have to pay the shipping for. Plus......road trip. I need to get out more often while I still have some time on my hands. I was right in thinking there was no way that the box for the tv stand was gonna fit in my Cavalier. Anywho, we dropped it off in my garage, and went back to the rents' house to get my car, and my mom was on the phone with her parents. The had just got back from a mini vacation. While they were gone, there was a bad windstorm here and the local publice tv station lost their transmitter. When they put it back up, they went ahead and did the digital upgrade as long as they were working on it anyway. So I went over to my grandparents and helped them hook up their digital to anolog tv converter box. Of course it was pretty simple, but they insisted on taking me out to dinner to thank me. Then came home, and just got done dragging all of the pieces of the tv stand up to the second floor master bedroom. Trying to decide if I want to break into the project of putting together now, at 8:30 at night, when I have to be to work at 6 am tomorrow, or I could just do it after work tomorrow morning. Probably the latter.
Went to see the doctor finally yesterday as a followup to my hospital stay. Of course seeing that my doctor did not come to the hospital to see me when I was there, she had all the same questions I answered for all the doctors at the hospital. Apparently I am to be scheduled for some tests to see if my nerves are functioning properly......somethin about needles and electricity.........sounds like fun.
Another funny note. Dad just got a GPS navigation doohickey. As much as I like technology and gadgets, that is one of the ones I had never thought I would need and or want. After playing with his on the trip to Buffalo and back, I am still of the mind I do not need, but maybe would want. I have always been a fan of just pointing my car in the general direction of the place I knew I wanted to go and following signs to get there, but it does have some neat features, like the ability to find what restaraunts, etc are near by your current location. But even as I type this I am thinking, great, I have gotten too lazy to even drive around an unfamiliar location to see what is there. Then again with the price of gas these days, might be cheaper to decide before hand and know exactly how to get there.
I guess that is enough babbling for now.
