MOONFEST BRINGS DEVILISH FESTIVITIES TO CLEMATIS
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. Fish out those fishnets and find your garlic necklace! The sensational, mischievous Halloween-themed street party, Moonfest, returns to the Clematis Street in Downtown West Palm Beach on Saturday, October 27 from 6:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. The event, which is free and open to the public, has become South Florida's largest Halloween festival, welcoming more than 40,000 guests annually for the freakishly fun festivities.
One of the highlights is the deliciously daring costume contest - a Moonfest tradition - where festival-goers compete to win $1,000 in cash and prizes by donning ensembles ranging from freaky to frightening. Moonfest also features live music from local bands; renowned live DJ's; a laser light show; a haunted house; a variety of fantastically freaky vendors and street performers; and plenty of food and drinks.
Moonfest has the ultimate Halloween VIP experience: "RIP" tickets. For just $25 before the event ( pick up @ O'Shea's Pub, 531 Clematis Street or buy online @ Moonfest.org) and $30 on the night, ticket holders receive access to the exclusive RIP area, featuring top-notch DJ's, horror movies, plus free food and libations.
"Moonfest is unlike any other Halloween experience you have to see it to believe it," said co-event organizer Rodney Mayo, owner of Respectable Street and The Lounge and editor of Closer Magazine. "Clematis Street will be lined with thousands of people in wild costumes rockin' and rollin' to a selection of the most outrageous entertainment you could imagine!
Founded in 1993 by Downtown business owners, Moonfest is sponsored by Respectable Street Caf, O'Shea's Irish Pub, The Lounge, Closer Magazine, The Palm Beach Post, The Buzz 103.1, TheHoneycomb.com, Bacardi, Budweiser, CBI , Howley's ictv1.com, metromix.com, Nobles, The DDA and The City of West Palm beach.
