Spring has hit Germany with a vengance! Since the begining of April, most days have been sunny and warm enough to want to wear sunscreen. Needless to say, my spare time has been filled with the smell of meat cooking over hot coals and the taste of beer. Warm weather mellows me out quite a bit. I'm quite content chilling out on my back porch sunning myself while reading a book. I do get a bit homesick this time of year, though. Pensacola, Florida is amazing in the spring. It's the best time to be a beach bumb. Not many tourists, not too hot, and the water is perfect.
Too follow up from my previous blog...
Even though my Civic decided to die while my Mom was visiting, we still had as much fun as possible. A friend lent me his Blazer for about a week, so I was able to take my Mom to Heidelberg for her last weekend here. I also spent a fortune getting my Civic fixed and then I immediately put her up for sale. I have a prospective buyer that I hope will take her off my hands once my new Mini-Cooper is delivered. I'll still be ass-out a few grand, but at least the money-pit will be someone else's problem.
