What a long week! School, vet visits, and my great-aunt Jean died.
She was 84, and I didn't really get the details. From the tone at the wake, and funeral service, and when my father told me... well, it seems like it was expected. I wasn't as close to her branch of the family tree, so I don't know how to feel. Now uncle David is the only sibling left, and with his level of activeness I can't imagine he's leaving us anytime soon.
Seeing the vet was an experience. My kitty can be quite the little brat when she feels like it, and she really showed us. It took two of of us to hold her down (wrapped in a towel) while he put mineral oil in her ears and cleaned them out. I couldn't believe she could be that strong - she's soooo tiny!
I also took the time to book her an appointment to be spayed. I finally some funds that can be put toward it, so she's going in 9 days from today. Scary, hmm.
I've still only been to two of my six classes, but shhhh. Thursday I stayed home to wait for the UPS guy, and as a result I've got my Magic Mouse (finallyyyyyy). I do quite like the ones I've been to though, and yesterday I finished getting all of my text books. The only thing I have left to buy is Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.
Gag me, seriously. Reading the book won't be bad, but the movie, ughhhhhhhhhh. The prof is going to make us watch it later in the year, and I HATE that movie. Sense and Sensibility is the other book we're reading this semester, so I'm at least looking forward to that. I'm hoping we get to watch that movie as well - a class of drooling over Alan Rickman and Hugh Grant would more than make up for the other
I'd suggest that I could scan the packages of what I run across, but unfortunately my scanner doesn't have a Mac OS-X driver available, and my PC is not working these days.
