Check this shit out.
I found a make-up artist (MUA)! She's a friend of a girl that Angela works with. Shes totally excite to work with us on a regular basis and also wants to do Angela's make-up for her shoots with other photographers and other models that I work with.
Angela and I spent most of our Saturday shopping for this shoot and getting all of the props and accessories together. We had the dresses ($10 each!) from our trip to a mall in St. Louis when we went back to see her family last xmas, but we needed stuff to go with it. I was planning on having her blow bubbles with bubble gum, but the gum we got sucked, so we just went with the regular bubbles. The MUA held two bubble wands in each hand and held them in front of a fan set on low. Not only is she a great make-up and hair person, but she's a great bubble machine too.
This is the second outfit. Same dress but a different color. We also have a black one. Note the hair and false eyelashes in all of the pics. In the first set we went for a 60's cutsie fashion look and in the second a 60's spy girl look. I'm not sure which I liked best. They both turned out awesome. I had a really hard time picking which ones were keepers. I think I only threw out about 20 of the 150 shots because of blinks or bad lighting or whatever. I've wanted to do this look for Angela forever, but so far none of the MUA's we've worked with have been up to the task. This one got it right the first try and was very fast which is really important.
I want to be like tmronin and have a cool name for our new group. His is Team Rockstar, though I think it's been kinda disbanded, that's the rumor anyway. Maybe I dreamed it. Anyway, all I can come up with is Team *something cool*. Any ideas?
Keep an eye on Angela's journal for more pics from this shoot. She'll probably put her favorites up tonight or in the next couple of days.
So far, with about 100 more images to go, this is my most fav.
