You are so different to anyone I know
I'm still lacking a home internet connection, or phone line for that matter, so I'm back at the library doing my geeking. I have the FIME102 reader in front of me, and I fully intend to read some of it once I've got some solid geeking out of my system.
I have the most recent rendition of the local flu right now, which always seems to hit me just when I want to do some studying. I'll put on a brave face, soldier on, and hope my sniffing and coughing doesn't disturb my library neighbours too much.
Hepped up on cold & flu medicine I decided to climb a tree on the Union Lawn this afternoon. Hannah, Rachael and Anji stood and watched. They pointed out that I'd sat in some bird crap, which was nice. Once I got up into a nice part of the tree Anji threw my lighter up to me and I smoked a cigarette and watched the world wander past. I wish those kids had been able to climb up with me.
There's a great tree at the Arthur St school down from my house that I'm gonna have to attempt this weekend. Nothing like a bit of tree climbing in the sun to lift my spirits.
Right now I'm listening to Fangs new album Swim Up Stream, and I intend to review it for Critic before I leave the library. I've got to do the news at 5pm, so I doubt I'll get much study done before then. I guess I'll come back post-news and get amongst it - if I don't end up at the volunteer meeting / drinks.
