It's not safe to play in the road
We've had the phone cut off at our flat, which means I'm internetting at the library. This used to suck, cause it meant I had to sit in the big computer area with all the people around me, but now I have an iBook. So here I am, tucked away in a private cubicle hooked up to a network and everything. I want an arrangement like this at home.
The only downside is I can't check my ISP mail account what with proxy problems and all, so I have to use webmail. I demand the ability to use my mail client!
I guess we could get the phone on again soon, and then I could be a happy camper. Of course, now that I've tasted it, I really want a high-speed connection. Let's see, I can get an ADSL modem for $130, and I could...
Wait, I have no money. I guess I can't afford this super-excitement. What I need is a fleet of iBooks, hooked up through Airport, with someone other than me paying the bill.
We're no longer recording on Sunday (did I tell you we were recording on Sunday? We're not.) because Tom Bell's too busy with the Radio 1 Sampler. We're gonna reschedule. Sam and I got some ideas from Dr Graeme Downes today on how to excite up the rythm section, so we'll try that out. I hope it goes well.
We're also playing at the Crown tomorrow night. I should really sort out who's opening for us. I'll ask Simon Comber - that'll be fun. I expect at least three people to come tomorrow, so we'd better make it good.
One person who won't make it is Katie, who had her first day in her new job yesterday and is planning to have her first sick day tomorrow. She really is sick, but that's a bad first week.
