I just watched American Splendor, and I must say I'm glad I did. It was one of those enjoyable films where it's all about the actual making of what you're seeing, coupled with the fascination of watching someone whose life is their work etc. You know, one of those clever mirror-mirrors that can be both about something and be about being about that something.
Point is, I like things a little post-modern like that.
Beyond that, I will now attempt to say that a little better.
I especially like the way the film is narrated by the man whose life is being portrayed. Not only does Harvey Pekar narrate, but he passes comment on the narration. Then he comments on commenting. At which point something actually happens again, and we're off.
Do I really need to be explaining this film? It feels like I took so long to get around to watching it that everyone already has or doesn't care.
Go and watch it, ya bums.

As long as you're making up for it now, we'll prolly manage to stay friends.
