So yesterday I tried really hard to recompile my kernel, but I must've been doing something wrong because I failed. Repeatedly. I am not worried, though. I'll simply persevere, blatantly ignoring the things I should've learnt (from my mistakes). I have managed to do some nice customising which means my comp is fast approaching the way I want it to be.
And I went to my French class. I should do my homework tonight, before I go see Once Upon A Time In Mexico. Ah, Johnny Depp, how I love thee. I should also do my Philosophy readings for my 9:00 seminar tomorrow morning. But I'll end up pretending to do all of this after the movie.
And after my falafel burger.
I got an e-mail from my university's Liberal Arts Postgraduate Office today, welcoming me to my postgrad year and inviting me to a supper. I'm not actually a postgrad (though I should be), but I figure this little shin-dig will have free snacky treats. I'm weighing up my options.

Ah, free snacky treats. Just the thing for a poor hungry student. Btw, you didn't get yourself on the 20/20 item about hell raising Otago students the other night, did you?

I think the piece was a bit of a beat up, actually. Kind of a "Lets show a bunch of middle class kids getting shit faced during Orientation - that'll stir people up." Students getting shit faced during Orientation is nothing new. They also showed the infamous steepest street in NZ where a young woman died in a wheelie bin. So all-in-all it made Dunedin look like the kind of place to be if you're young and want to get away from the olds and have a good time.
