I have to apologize SG, ive been neglecting you. Heres your blog of all things Danger.
We left our Protagonist readying himself for a burlesque show in the dive bar district of Hollywood.
But for a twist i hit the Tim Burton exhibit at The LAMCA.

After Tim Burton there was an attempt to check out the Movie The Tree Of Life
But unfortunately because of the timing it was passed over until this last sunday. Ill get to the movie in just a few.
I ended up checking out a little place in Century City called Hurry Curry, a Japanese curry restaurant. This was new, ive had indian curry before, which is good, but hard on the guts. I was rather impressed with the food, and cant wait to go back. Japanes Curry rocks. If you haven't tried it, do it NOW.
Then it was burlesque time. Now if your thinking to yourself, "isn't that like that movie Cher was in?" Ill quickly slap you, and tell you no.
This was something amazing. Its not like a strip club, where its all sleaze and tease and women looking to empty your wallet. Most of the performers where amatuers doing this because its fun.
Some of the dances where funny, some were serious, and some were so hot you could cook a pancake breakfast on it. I enjoyed the fact that there where all different types of dancers, tall, short, fat, skinny, average, crazy hot. It didn't matter, it was just about fun.
We arrived at Three of Clubs Bar in Hollywood. When i first pulled up to this place I couldnt help but think to myself, " this place looks shady, 80% chance im going to get into a fight". But once inside my opinion changed. This bar felt like home, like everything i ever dreamed a bar should be. It was dimly lit, it had a darkwood bar that ran the length of the back wall, a jukebox full of the Cramps, Ramones, Sex Pistols, The Clash and Johnny Cash. Red velvet curtains on the walls, small black tables with single candles in plush boths with an almost 1920's style. I wanted to just sit and sip some Gin with Sinatra and talk about everything cool in this world.
At 9:30 this huge wooden door opens and your lead into a party room with another bar, a small stage and seating for maybe 30. The music was great, some of the acts where corny, and one act in particular with this weird hello kitty theme was actually really amazing. All in all, it was a great time, and i cant wait to check it out this upcoming monday night for their "Summer of Horrors" Show.
Monday Night Tease Hollywood
After the show my friend and I sat around and both killed one more drink before hitting the road and had the opportunity to chat it up with a few of the performers. They were hilarious, and apparently so where we, cause we joined all of them for a post show breakfast.
During breakfast I met a guy who works at the Magic Castle and calls himself funny Eddy. For those not familiar with the Magic Castle, its kinda like a yacht club for Magicians. Its invite only and usually crazy expensive. Long story short, Eddy sets us up with some passed to come check out his show and to see this place.
It was a crazy night, I met some cool people and cant wait to go on monday.
After watching the show, i really wanna see a dance done to this song
So this past weekend it was back to working like a dog, but i did get time to get out and about. I hit the Nuart on friday night and saw Taxi driver
I want that mohawk.
I caught up with a few people i know down there and then got stuck in 2am night-time constuction on the 405 and didnt hit my front door time 5am.
Sunday was yet another movie day down at the Landmark. I found this burger joint called the Apple Pan which was sweet! Its a grill in the center of the restuarant surrounded by a large countertop. You grab a sit as someone gets up, order, eat and GTFO. It had a old skool feel to it, and the burger was top notch.
Then i saw the tree of life. I really enjoyed it, but its very artsy. This is a movie you have to want to watch, if you casually just walk into it, your gonna walk out. Its symbolic, multi dimensional and visually stunning. Unfortunately my movie buddies fell asleep, but they were also expecting a different kind of film.
They showed a preview for Another Earth, and i cannot wait to see it. The song in the trailer is pretty too.
Then it was XMEN! Cool movie, i completely geeked out by the end.
And to finally catch everyone up, I got my first raise at the job, im completely kicking ass and on my way to more money! Which rocks, cause more money means i can go out and get into more trouble
On the table for this upcoming weekend:
Front Line Assembly on Friday Night at the El Ray!
Saturday Ink-n-Iron!
Sunday, my friend Julie has a pride run in malibu and since its her first time to the LA area im gonna take her out and show her some stuff!
Monday night its Burlesque show again.
So two days down, two more to go.
Hope everyone is well
