I was out last night, sampling some very fine Belgian beers and maybe a rum or two, and with that I was discussing with some friends that it seemed so few people in our age group had settled down. Very few people live where they grew up, or have put down "roots" in any one place. A lot of us seem to float around the world, haven chosen jobs or careers that guarantee we will have to move. We were having a serious discussion about this and trying to find a root cause...was it the increase in divorce in the 1980's effecting the children of those failed marriages, commercial globalisation impacting careers...or, was it because we all grew up watching this:
