What a wild weekend. Well, by my standards, anyway.
I can't even remember Friday, so let's write that one off. I think there was something about Graveyard Shift and exhaustion and barely sleeping. Yeah, and that's about it.
Saturday started out with an early morning, setting up for my the first of my company's charity bbq's of the season. A messy process with a messy start, but always fun nonetheless. Sitting in front of a grocery store with a grill full of hotdogs and sausages aint too bad of a way to spend a day. It was hot like Rachel Leigh Cook though, and though I stayed in the shade I still somehow got a sunburn. That just tells you how deathly pale I am otherwise.
The bbq ended early for me as I went out and celebrated the age old ritual of the bachelor party with a few buddies of mine down in Niagara Falls. Unfortunately, the less spoken of that evening the better, but holy crap... I saw things there I'd only previously seen on the really dirty parts of the internet. And a friend of mine won $2200 at the casino.
So that lasted all night and part of the morning, being completely shit-faced during, of course... and getting to bed around 5:30 and getting back up to check out of the hotel around 11:00. Had breakfast at motherfucking DENNYS, where I saw a delightful pie-faced woman of about 300 pounds in a pink tank top (the type of whom we'd spent the night drunkenly referring to as 'deep and delicious') order mozzarella sticks and mini-burgers for breakfast. Also, we waited an hour and fifteen minutes for toast. Only about 2 minutes for jam, however.
Almost died on the car ride back home.
Napped for an hour and a half, went to rehearsal.
Played Occupation, Location, Cause of Death for warm up for about 45 minutes, and it was fucking HILARIOUS. Blocked and rehearsed the Duchess' scene and the Mad Tea Party scene, and it was the best damn rehearsal yet. I even emailed the cast afterwards that I worked with, thanking them again for putting in such a good go of it. My assistant director even kept her damn trap shut! Awwyeah.
Strolled home, watched some Trailer Park Boys, and eventually drifted off to sweet, sweet sleep.
And I think I'm still hungover.
A good time, friends and neighbours. A damn good time.
